(Two 9-week spring/summer terms)
This group was launched with the help of a local Lawn Bowling club which welcomes our members to its clubhouse and green every Friday morning. The group is new to Lawn Bowls and is learning a newly-designed game devised by the sport’s governing body and called the Big Bowls Bash. It jettisons many of Lawn Bowls rules in favour of getting players proficient quickly.
The club captain and coach, or other club officials are there on a Friday to help members develop their technique although, as they progress, that support will be reduced to light-touch coaching if needed.
The season runs from April to September and is divided into two terms of 9 weeks each.
