Amble places are allocated to the first replies to the group leader's 'invitation' email, which contains a location to start from. Where possible, every amble takes in, or ends with, a stop for coffee/tea or other refreshment. Typical distance is 2.5 miles (4 km), which takes about an hour. An ideal amble will be away from road noise, with paths wide enough for pairs to walk and chat easily. Typically we have 8 to 14 members attending, but that may be reduced if we're going to a busy area where I cannot keep count of everyone easily.
