Members visit various garden locations, with National Trust gardens topping the list. Local private gardens that take part in the National Garden Scheme are also popular. Participating gardens raise money for nursing charities and promote the mental and physical benefits of gardens. Outings usually end with tea and cake. Occasionally, when the journey is long, we meet at 12 noon for a snack lunch and catch-up beforehand.
