In late February 2023, I provided a workshop demo session for a few group members of my idea of being able to take specific ‘weather’ scenes on any set day. Can we control the weather? Well, with imagination and ingenuity, we can create desired ‘weather’ within a limited scenario and have fun doing so.
Three members of the Photography group had a peaceful visit to the RSPB reserve at Church Wood, on Hedgerley Hill on 25th April to photograph the bluebells and listen to the birdsong.
Following last month’s meeting where we viewed several YouTube videos on techniques for photographing architecture, the Photography group set off to record what Staines has to offer, old and new.

The November theme for photos (in December Newsletter) was Light, as we couldn’t get out for much of November, many were submitted from the Photography group member’s archives.
A pleasant and creative morning was spent by four members of the Photography group in Langley Park on Thursday 22nd October. There follows a selection of Leaf themed photos from group members, even those who couldn’t make it on the day and had to shoot elsewhere.
In late June, the photography group made their first (socially distanced) foray outdoors.
Michael suggests we think of our children and grandchildren – and identify the folk in our old photos.
